What exactly is the relations screen showing?

If I have a player set for trade could he have me set for embargo and I wouldn't know?

If this is the case would be nice to have a way to know the status he has you set at. Could maybe even be a skill or some such. :)

The player can set embargo or war with you and you will not know that from the status screen.
